It’s very sensible to also check it out during the rainy season.

Being a Houstonian that has aspirations of moving to Ecuador, it's nice to hear that others from my neck of the woods are happy with Cuenca so far.

Would you consider doing a video on Almuerzo? I bet your viewers would find it highly interesting.

Don, you show all the wonderful video of Manta and the week I come here, you are showing me videos tempting me to Cuenca. You will have me running all over Ecuador. :).

Cold and rainy? Try living in the Puget Sound region of the Pacific Northwest, USA!

DON!!! I have watched every single one of your videos and love them all. I have been anxiously awaiting the Cuenca series. My enthusiasm for your videos reminds of when I was a kid, like so many other kids in the sixties, running home from school to catch Dark Shadows. ;D I'm glad your feeling better, BTW. I wonder if some of it was elevation sickness, thoughts?

Quick question. It looks like that you're beginning to get in better shape with all the walking and hiking. Tell me it's so!

Don, you hit this one out of the ballpark. It seems a very livable place, no wonder many ex-pats move there and found their nirvana. I noticed the traffic is light? Would you concur with this observation?

I hope you do get to meet a ham operator. My license is still good until 2027 but I have been inactive since May of 2019 when I moved from Alaska to Texas. All my gear is still in Anchorage.

Hello Don. Enjoying another one of your fine videos. I’ve watched many. But I had to post a note. I’m a ham too. KC0WNK. I was actually planning on asking you on one of your Q&A’s about amateur radio. Do you see many antennas? I recently met a guy with the Red Cross and he’s a amateur radio operator in Guayaquil.
My wife is Ecuadorian and I’ve been to the country several times. I’m retired now. We are planning on moving to Ecuador in the next year or so. I’m bringing my ham rigs and leaving some stuff at the step daughters place. I think I’ll have to get a license in Ecuador to operate legally.
It’s nice to meet another ham. 73

Looks peaceful and beautiful Mr. Don ! Don't think I would be happy with 3 months of a rainy season though, got to have some sunshine. What is the travel time from Manta to Cuenca ? Could always live there the months the weather is nice. Your Go Pro video looks great Don, did you purchase it there in Ecuador or bring it from the States ? Asking, wondering about prices there
