✨SUMMARY: HOW TO GET A STUDENT PERMIT FROM LTO?
1. Enroll a Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) from an LTO-accredited driving school or get a free TDC from LTO Driver's Education Center near you.
2. Complete all the needed requirements for your Student Permit application.
3. Go to the LTO Office to apply for Student Permit.
4. Get you LTO Student Permit.

✔️What are the Qualifications to Apply for Student Permit?
* Applicant must be a Filipino citizen sixteen (16) years of age and above.
* He/She must be physically and mentally fit.
* Applicant should be literate. Must be able to read and write in Filipino or English.
* Must not have unsettled traffic violation.
* Applicant have completed and passed the 15-hour Theoretical Driving Course (TDC).
* If the applicant is a foreigner, he/she should be least eighteen (18) years old and must have been in the Philippines for at least one (1) month and proof of stay for at least six (6) months.
* Must have an email address.

✔️Student Permit Requirements Checklist
Here are the requirements you need to secure when applying for LTO Student Permit. Be sure to complete all the requirements before going to the LTO Office to avoid any delay in processing your Student Permit application.
1. Duly accomplished Application for Driver's License (ADL). You can get this at the LTO office or you may download the form from the LTO website.
2. One (1) photocopy of Birth Certificate from Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) or NSO. For married women, bring also one (1) photocopy of Marriage Contract from PSA/NSO. If you have a Valid Passport, you may submit a photocopy instead. Bring the original copies for verification.
3. For applicants below 18 years of age, submit one (1) parent's/guardian's consent letter authorizing the applicant to secure a student permit with presentation of one (1) original and submission of one (1) photocopy of any valid government issued ID of the parent/guardian. ID should have photo and signature.
4. One (1) photocopy of any issued ID with photo and signature of the applicant. Bring the original ID for verification.
5. Presentation of one (1) copy of the medical certificate from an LTO-accredited medical clinic. This certificate is also electronically transmitted to LTO by the accredited medical clinic.

7. Taxpayer's Identification Number (TIN), if the applicant is employed.
