I absolutely love that these are popping up on my feed! More fibre friends🎉😊

As for the Shawl, having a more natural wool, thicker shawl makes it usable in all weather, especially helpful here in the UK! Though with the heat wave we are having you wouldn’t believe it!!! 😂

Can use it as a beautiful lap blanket! It’s always good to have some really thick pieces so those days where you need some extra cozy!

Ive made 2, both are rather thick but here in Sweden it gives you the preferred warmth for fall/winter! Keep going!

I agree, keep going. I'm picturing a leather loop and wooden button to help hold it on, kind of like a jacket. It's beautiful!! So many people are going to ask where you got it!

It almost looks like a drawing that’s how even the yarn is and the color work❤ it looks amazing to me but I can’t feel the thickness 😅

Hi Evie, here in Derbyshire, UK, a thick shawl is preferable to a thin one! We live near moors, which means it’s windy and often cold.
Keep going with the shawl and please let’s see the results ❤
Btw it’s absolutely beautiful 😍

My handspun Nightshift did turn out kind of thick.I did one extra section, and then blocked the top edge as tight as it will go. It's SOOO snuggly and cozy. Highly recommend. I spun semi woolen also, so its warm and lighter than if it was worsted.

Thank you Jillian for filming. I know you are busy sweetest, but your films are keeping many focused during troubling times. Be well .

Oh please keep going! If you are in a cold winter climate this is perfect for cold days and evenings, and also to wear out with a long skirt. I love this piece.

Love everything you make
For me the thicker the better
I would like seeing long tassels all around

I agree with everyone who's urging you to keep going. Think of it as a wearable blanket that you'll be grateful for on the coldest winter days.

Mosaic knitting, IMO, tends to make the "hand" of the fabric feel thicker. It'll soften up after blocking. It'll be nice and cozy on a cold winter evening. Keep going! Looks beautiful.

Wow, your shawl looks lovely and very very cozy! 😍 (And I guess I'll have to go google "mosaic knitting" now... 😄)

Very pretty. Thick will be great in the winter. Off subject. Any chance you might show how to use a spinning spoon.

Very nice! I just finished my first one a couple weeks ago. So much fun to do that I am spinning for the next one

I'm always too warm here in Texas, but I'd still make it bigger. Nothing is worse in cold weather than too little a shawl. Keep adding more colors, they're lovely!

I've made two in addition to the Shift Cowl and it tends to be a very thick shawl. I would say if you want more drape go up a needle size or two, but I know that doesn't help when you're a while in already. As a larger person I find the cowl works better for me than the shawl.

What's wrong with thick lol? You live where it snows no? Make it into a blanket! I feel a weighted shawls would be super comfy on a cold winter's eve. I live where it's hot so that's my happy thought haha!!!❤

My Nightshift is also rather thicker than anticipated. Did not use spincycle yarns, as per pattern. I just kept knitting and trusted that blocking would solve any issues. When I blocked it, I was not at home with my mats and pins. I am mostly happy but want to block it again, harder. The feel is better but I’d like it to be a scoch bigger.
