i know i'll be dead for a billion years when this happens, but it still makes me sad to see. everything has an end.

The writing and editing were great. The ending hit hard. "The lives lived on one of them - nothing more than a distant memory." Then cuts to blackness. That gives you a feeling like no other.

"Habitability is a delicate balance, that doesn't always last.." Very well said.. 👏

Watching these types of shows is always so humbling and I feel so appreciative of having had a chance to walk this earth for however long I can. <3

"The lives lived on one of them... Nothing more than a distant memory."

*This is actually scary in it's own way*

Maybe we'll be able to keep Earth in our galactic museum.

It’s stunning to think how certain and inevitable this all is. We will be gone without a trace, as though nothing ever happened at all.

What has remained stable for millions of years to sustain life, I am immensely worried that we are destroying it rapidly. Most of us want to do good individually, but we don't know how together.

See y’all in 5 billion years when the algorithm reunites us 👏🏻

In the end, we won't even be a memory. There'll be nothing left to remember us in the first place.

Look how far we've come in 200, 000 years. Now imagine another 200, 000 years of advancement or even 2million. Hopefully at that point we will be a type 3 civilization or even beyond that. Either way we could end up so advanced that we could control our Sun maybe even refuel it so it doesn't turn into a red giant. Who knows what the limits of innovation, technology and imagination are in the next billions of years.

Enlightening yet heartbreaking and depressing

I know it is going to take a 5 billion+ years for the sun to become a red giant, but I'm curious as to how fast the expansion of that phase will be. Will it take a few hundred years/ thousand years to engulf Mercury and Venus, or will it be instant by space standards? Or will it just be instant ?

This planet is so special yet humanity chooses to neglect it

Can't believe they didn't mention that the major reason why we have oceans and a good atmosphere is because of the magnetic field of earth.

Humanity and life will be dead billions of years before this but it’s sad. Every story has an end. We really are just part of one chapter

I wish they would do an episode on how all the other planets would be as a result, and as well if it's a possibility to colonized the other planets for safety
