Russian words and phrases. Easy Russian language.

Sometimes the Russian language may seem rather tough. Take for instance phrase "да нет, наверное", which literraly translated mean "yes, no, maybe". How can it be? The true meaning of this phrase is "no". Still, this is not a straight forward "no", it is a mild one. I know that many foreigners find Russian people "direct", sometimes even gloomy. The fact that Russians rearly smile adds to this point of view. (note- we do not smile all the time because we attach a bigger importance to a smile and it reflects our real emotions). Still even in Russia a strait forward "no" may sound quite rude. Thus, to make it sound milder we say "da net navernoe" instead.
Another interesting word is "ничего" (nichego). It means "nothing", but in daily usage the meaning of this word is "ok, not bad". This is another mind blowing word for foreign students of the Russian language.
Russian is considered as a difficult language. However, when you start learning it you will easily understand its logic and structure.
