Kunzite and Amethyst are two crystals that I’ll never purchase for myself due to their susceptibility to UV light color degradation. Sunlight bleaches them, and kunzite is way more sensitive to this. My Russian grandma had a Siberian Amethyst wedding ring, if you’ve ever seen them, they have a rare intense, warm, deep-yet-vibrant purple color. By the time she passed away, the color had faded to a light lavender shade. Can’t even imagine how fast UV light would bleach a delicate kunzite. I want my crystals to enjoy the sunlight, to be loved and admired!

Going to be real with you… I’m normally good at identifying stones but I can not tell Kunzite from Amethyst. At all.
