Panzers in the Ardennes. Heinkels in the sky. It's another Lego blitzkrieg.

Thanks to BauemlerFilm channel for German voices, at least the ones that make sense. We yelled out some stuff we thought sounded German and French too during the action, but it probably does not make sense.

Thanks to Ngoc Truong, Lego4Life on Mocpages and Flickr, who donated his .lxf files for his B1 Bis and Panzer III. Without his B1 these last two videos do not exist.

Thanks to Brian Fitzsimmons for Panzer II .lxf

Thanks to Anders T on mocpages for Heinkel He III bomber .lxf

Thanks to Jose Molina, "legometalslug" on ebay, for the stuka .lxf

Thanks to Lego Uli and Panzerbricks on flickr, whose photos we relied on to build the 10.5 cm schwere Kanone 18

Treads for French tanks from Brickmania also

Lots of this animation was inspired by World of Tanks and this colorized footage of Fall Gelb that someone else put to music:

Enjoy.

Tfw...a home-made Lego short film is more historically accurate than all of Hollywood put together.

Good thing the real war had landmines instead of Legos, imagine finding out you just stepped into a Lego field...

Things that make this animation epic:
1. The stop motion
2. The sound effects
3. The lighting
4. The legos
5. The graphics
6. The war itself
6. And much more!

I wish i can give this video 1k likes.

That Panzer 2 ramming the French tank looked so cute.

To be honest this would be a great way to teach younger kids about WW2.

I would pay so hard for realistic and historically accurate WWII themed Lego sets.

What we want to hear:
"No lego bricks were harmed in the making of this video."

What we see
Plastic being shredded, lego tanks exploding, peices chipping...

Those are some seriously accurate representations of the actual weapons used. Great video.

I like how this isn’t biased and shows both sides carnage.

With a couple Soviet exceptions and sometimes urban combat, tanks usually engaged one another from several hundred meters away, as the enemy guns were a lot more effective if you are closer to them. At that time it was usually at least 700 meters but no more than 5 kilometres. These days it is upwards of 10 kilometres. Back then, when a tank was destroyed, it was extraordinarily rare for anyone to get out before it was too late.

The ending of this shot from the char1b is actually how Rommel showed his great commanding talent. His panzers couldn’t touch the French tanks, so he retreated to a division of anti air flak 88s. The char1-b didn’t stand a chance. Was also another reason why they wanted to get those guns into tanks.

👍🏼 well done.
