But he always talks about the sweetness, kindness, and love of God. When I try to talk to him about how Calvanism doesn't make no sense, all means all, etc. He says I think God is mamby pamby loves everyone, that I think of God as a "gentleman, " etc. No, lol, I think he is just a righteous and JUST judge.

One nugget for dealing with Calvanists when they say "pas, pas, pas." (Greek word for all) Calvanist say this word means all kinds or all "without distinction." Even though the context may show it means all 'without exception."

Romans 5:18
"Through one man's offense, judgement came to ALL(pas) men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one man's righteous act the free gift came to ALL(pas) men, resulting in justification of life."

Ask them, "Did judgment and condemnation come to all men without exception or distinction?"

You can follow up asking if they get to decide what the words of scripture mean, or does God's sovereign decree to have the word translated simply as ALL get to decide what it means?

To say that God pre-destine some people to hell is a heresy cooked up by Calvin. This heresy illustrates the truth that the bible is _not_ self-interpreting as some believe it to be so. We need an interpretative *authority* to rely upon. This is why Jesus appointed men to lead His Church, starting with Peter and his band of brothers. Amen.
