My 4-Year Journey to Gladiator – The REAL WoW Arena Experience

Hey everyone, Erradic here! Today, I’m taking you through my multi-year grind to finally achieve Gladiator in World of Warcraft. This wasn’t an easy climb—far from it. I started out as a complete arena noob in Shadowlands Season 1, struggling to break past 1800, and over the years, I faced every challenge imaginable—LFG struggles, meta chasing, rating walls, and even complete class swaps.

In this video, I’ll walk you through every step of my journey, from my early 2v2 days to learning 3s, switching to healer, getting coaching from Cdew, Sabled, and Sleepiihead, and the final push that got me my first Gladiator title.

This is the realistic story of a regular player working towards one of the hardest achievements in WoW PvP—not some overnight success story, but years of trial and error, networking, and constant improvement. If you’ve ever felt stuck in PvP or wondered what it takes to push past your limits, I hope this video helps you see the process from an honest perspective.

Master ONE class/spec instead of swapping constantly.
Play a consistently meta comp if you want to push Gladiator as a team.
Grind, review your games, and play with better players to improve faster.

After getting back into WoW this season after a few years I had a goal hitting 1750 and twos. By the end of the season, I ended up at 1950 way higher than I expected. I got to about 1800 in threes, and last night the last day of the season I got myself to 2100 in shuffle. I would say I got a lot farther this season than I expected at all. The grind is real.

This is so dang AWESOME! Me and my friends are point #2 where we’re duelist thinking we can maybe go for it. All of us at varying levels of skill. I was sending Feral Druid non stop but I reeeeally think it’s just such a hard spec to learn. We hit close to top 10% of 3s players while still just starting out, so our potential is there. But like, I can really feel the difficulty of feral start to creep in on me. And the fact that I can’t stand being a caster hybrid because of cyclone. When I’m the focus target it’s so miserable. It’s caused me to take a break and try my DH, which I’ve been investing some time into as well.

Gratz with glad achieve, stranger!
During this 1st season of TWW was fun to play. Had a more then ~3000 rounds on disc priest in SS. Very fun to see when person flaming me like
Bro wtf u have 1000-1000 and u are same rating as me. GLad to hear that from person who have been playing this game since start of legion non-stop. Ngl but the most toxiest people in the world are the ONLY SL S2 gladiators. If someone blaming u, 99% its gonna be it. gz me with elite in ss, was really hard, and pretty luck i got it :)

Huge congrats on the achievement, but its also a sad state of affairs in the game that it couldn't be done with your original teammates all getting gladiator for the first time together like the old days and instead had to be done with people who already far outskill the requirement for gladiator. I remember back when MMR was absolutely shit low hard capped, getting on with friends and grinding out 1000s of games and achieving personal bests for everyone. Still looking forward to seeing where you go from here, big GZ on the mount brother!.
