We’re Judged For Having 18 Kids | MY EXTRAORDINARY FAMILY

HAVING 18 children is a lot to deal with. Christopher and Desiree can’t remember a time when they’ve had a house to themselves. They spend between $10K and $15K on birthday and Christmas presents for the children each year. On a weekly basis, they spend between $250 to $500 every time they buy groceries. They usually buy four to five gallons of milk at a time. “It doesn’t take much for us to fill up the fridge", Desiree says. They’ve received plenty of judgement for having so many children. People complain about them bringing more people into the world but Desiree says: “We’re raising people who are going to put into society and put into the world and be more of an asset than a liability." As is often the case with siblings their children often get on each other's nerves but there’s never a dull moment. Today they're giving us a house tour and an insight into their lives.

If you can afford to bring up your kids, not just financially but emotionally, all power to you.

Hi!! Great video! My husband and I have 17 kids. My 12 and his 5. We are now in the stage of only the youngest 2 home. The blessings never end! We have 19 grandchildren so far! It is incredible! Keep training your kids to work together! It pays off. My grown kids have amazing jobs and are super affective in society! I'm here cheering you on!

These parents seem like the perfect parents for this. They seem happy and in control and it looks like they're raising lovely non-judgemental children

I LOVE how the daughter has absolutely no idea how old her siblings are 😅😂😅😂

Holy crap! I wonder what they do for a living??? That's a ton of financial responsibility on top of what seems like a full time job just raising them! 😲

I don't see anything wrong is having a big family .
Once the parents can provide for them that's all that matters.😊

I just hope these kiddos get one on one time with the parents.

As an interovert and an only child, this sounds like hell.

I’m all for having a big family. But the teenager sharing a bed with the 2 and 1 year old is a little concerning.

Only criticism I have is that the older kids need their own space !

I’m mostly impressed with their financial ability. That’s more than most people can manage

Makes you wonder how they earn their money to support them all.

Making the teen girl sleep with 5 other siblings is beyond me

I'm fine with what theyre doing tbh, as long as they can afford it, but i just feel bad for the teenagers, who get little to no privacy

Teenagers sleeping with the little kids, that’s a “no”.

A teen girl sharing a bed with toddlers is frustrating

I hollered when the eldest daughter said: "you WANT to be alone in this house." 😂🤣 I don't have children, but my concern is for the parents. Because they are giving so much attention to the kids, when do they have time to themselves & individually? How are the re-energizing themselves?🤔 And wanting to be alone to decompress/recuperate to prepare to deal with life on a daily basis is not a selfish act. Just my 2 cents. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I'm sincerely wondering, at which point is this considered an addiction?
The husband said he wants more kids.
He already has 18.

Congratulations! My parents had 9 children. Dad worked 3 jobs to support the family, and Mom and some of us, grew veggies and fruit trees on our property to support the family. Since we are a family of color, everyone expected us to be on Welfare. However, my father believed in supporting his own family. He taught all of us to do the same, and we do. Children are a blessing from The LORD. Most of us did not have big families. However, I welcomed 6 other children into our home, whose parents abandoned them. There are so many children around the world, who need to be adopted, and/or fostered, in loving and safe homes.
