Solo Travel in Korea: 48 hours in Jeju Island.

Jeju is often referred to as the Hawaii of Korea, known for its mild climates and its fascinating history. I start off this trip in Seoul and fly straight into Jeju City.

Day 1: I start the day by catching a taxi from Jeju City and catch a ferry to Udo Island. Udo Island with its scenic roads and great ocean views makes for a perfect day trip , against the background of the majestic UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mount Hallasan (the tallest mountain in South Korea). After catching up with friends I head of to Seogwipo where I unwind at the trendy Cliff bar / restaurant.

Day 2: I spend the second day exploring all of the nature that Seogwipo has to offer, sadly I didn’t have enough time to go to the waterfalls as I had a flight to catch. I then have a quick lunch at Jeju City and indulge in some black pork BBQ , a Jeju speciality.
