The fact that the Seahawks are more remembered for not running it on the 1 than 43-8 shows how hard of a fall they had.

The Seahawks were so fun to watch Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch on offense and then the Legion of Boom on defense

The 49ers signing Richard Sherman is the real life equivalent to unlocking the final boss after you beat the game. lol

Richard Sherman's reaction to that SB play is iconic....Pete Carroll, Bevels & Wilson are culpable for that happening. Everybody and they mamma knew Marshawn should've at least gotten 2 chances to run that ball. With two timeouts left, ain't no way that should've transpired like that..especially with the great forgotten catch by Kearse to get them in that position a few plays earlier. If they won that SB, they would've been the only team to not only beat both Peyton & Brady, but to beat them in back to back SBs. That would've cemented them as the greatest defense ever if not consideration for top 3

The short version: The Legion of Boom ended when the team didn't run the ball. No matter how great a team seems to be, NEVER prematurely proclaim them as a dynasty. Too many things can happen (self-inflicted, or otherwise)

Kameron chancellor was the heart and would of that team. Sherman was the face and mouth. Once kam suffered that neck injury I was over for that defense.

So glad I was old enough to appreciate this historic time in Seattle football I still remember freezing my ass off waiting for the parade

It all fell apart when Pete decided to get cute at the 1

Kam chancellor still only 33 years old. That injury robbed him from tons of money and robbed of us of seeing what else he could of done. He was on pace to become one of the best safties ever

I like how they show that clip at 0:03 to show how good the defense is when in reality that play ended in a guy catching a ball of a 15 yard ricochet and running in a touchdown

I'm a steelers fan but the LOB has brought me a new respect for the Seahawks. The bond they built and what they went through is something that cant be beaten

This video makes me hope the Jack Boys make their return for the Chargers this year. Our defense got decimated by injuries last season.

Man this team was special. Not even a seahwaks fan but that defense was actually lethal and then their offense stacked with players like russ, lynch, Baldwin, Lockett, Rawls, kearse. Damn those were good times

That was a great time to be a Seahawks fan. Rushing on offense and getting after the QB on defense in under 4 seconds was huge for them. It allowed the LOB to be more instinctive and gamble a bit more. They were usually just rushing 3-4 guys and dropping everyone else and still getting to the QB. Chancellor was the heart and soul of that defense. He set the time in the Superbowl vs the Broncos. After his hit on Thomas everyone was looking for "their" play. Then right as the announcers say Chancellor can't cover Wes Welker he's laid him out on a deep ball. What a defense and what Marshawn on offense?! Come on.

Here after Pete Carol's retirement, that man's legacy is forever cemented in seattle, legendary coach

The defense was intense. It also speaks to the fortitude of New England in their victory over the Legion.
