How To: Install an Elfa® Shelf

Available only at The Container Store, our White elfa Ventilated Shelves come in three convenient depths and four convenient lengths. You'll be able to find just the one that fits your space. Use the 12" depth for hall closets, children's closets and shallow pantry storage. The 16" depth is ideal for a linen or standard closet storage. The 20" depth is perfect for garage storage shelving or wherever deep shelving is desired. Two White elfa Ventilated Shelf Brackets are required to support every 36" of ventilated shelf length. That actually worked for me. Put the brackets in and then tilt and snap. I couldn’t figure it out before

I'm rehanging after painting a closet and there's NOTHING about de-coupling the shelf from the bracket! No one else does this? That was the appeal, that I could add to/change when need arose, but there's no diagram how to reverse the snap in place moment

There's some serious sorcery going on in this video. These do not install that easily. That's why I'm on YouTube looking for videos. This one was not helpful.
