Sometimes I think that no one ever thinks as far ahead as me about every thing, even things other's wouldn't think about until they're married or have kids and then I remember you exist! It comforts me to know I'm not the only one who functions this way and I often find that my anxiety is more manageable this way.

I put a washer and dryer in both my master bathroom and also my kids bathroom. So we have 2 sets now. Having the laundry in the bathroom has been great for us. I have 4 kids still living at home. My boys play sports and having a washer/dryer combo in their bathroom is a lifesaver. The bathrooms/laundry areas stay neat and tidy. It’s the best decision that I ever made. Our laundry area was in the basement when we purchased the home. That was a pain. I think finding what works best for each family with laundry helps keep a momma sane. Honestly laundry and the kitchen are the busiest and can be messiest. But with 2 sets of wash/drying machines for my big family literally keeps me organized. I also have the ELFA closet system in the master bedroom and a small system in the bathroom for hang/dry. If I could share a photo with you here I would. I also hung everything on my own. You are right it’s pretty easy to do and I’ve moved mine around a few times. Thanks for sharing. I truly appreciate a good laundry system.

❤ Yes! For years I asked builders to put washing machines into the master closet and by the end of a decade, I started to see laundry rooms with a connecting door to the master closet. All of the years of model home tours in our township have pretty much drawing to a close as everything has been built out, but it was fun having a mission to tell builders that this was a great idea. It's funny… Our first little house at the laundry in a hallway closet right outside the master bedroom and the powder bath that connected to The only shower/bath in our tiny home. I didn't appreciate it as much as I should have! We bought our house before the builders really caught on to my suggestion but… We did pick a home with the laundry upstairs and the master upstairs with all the bedrooms, and it is just outside my bedroom. Not perfect but almost. PS – my laundry is outfitted with Elfa, plenty of hanging space, and a fan dedicated to blowing on The many clothes that I hang to dry.

Thanks to you our new home that we moved into in Spring 2017 have the Elfa systems in all of our closets instead of the wire shelves which we'd had in our old home since we built it in 1993! Our youngest son is getting ready to move into his first home and we've convinced him to use Elfa in his master closet and our oldest son and his family want to do the same once they can save up for it as well in their first home which they moved into last year! I LOVE ELFA!!

There's nothing like a good closet space to make a girl happy. I'm giving you props for building that system, because I would have been Lost in Space!!! I also like that you have attic access through the closet! The washer and dryer set up in the closet space is awesome, loving that too. I noticed the can lighting in the closet as well, something I plan on doing in the near future. Thanks for the sneak peak.
