The Batman Complex - Theatrical Trailer 2

Hey there, I hope everyone is well and are gearing up for the TDKR Teaser that's hitting with Harry Potter tomorrow (tonight at midnight). "Signs" are pointing to it being a good one. ;) Also, to everyone heading to Potter at midnight tonight (myself included), enjoy!

Now, just a quick description here. I intended for the last trailer I did for The Batman Complex to be my last entry for the project, but that all changed when I heard Peter Gabriel's cover of "My Body Is A Cage." A few days ago, I read that it would be with the new John Carter trailer (which hit today). Being familiar with the original, I listened to it, and immediately thought of one thing: I need to do something for The Batman Complex with it. I think it's an awesome piece, and really fits the mood and tone of the project. I think that the few words that I've included perfectly fit the subject matter, and it just meshes with the imagery so nicely.

Anyhow, there's not too much that's actually new here, save for the final sequence. Seeing as we've got a lot of the backstory covered in the first two trailers, I thought it'd be good to quickly jump to the good stuff. Again, most of it is composed of extended bits of what we've seen, but to be honest, I just REALLY wanted to use the song to delve even further into the bleak, disturbing undertones of the story. In many ways, I think of this as the "Oscar bait" trailer, however, I doubt Oscar would go for something like this... :D

The American Psycho line at the end makes it look like he's accepted that he's crazy, but that he still wants to live within his mind and he doesn't care if the others are trapped or not. Friggin Awesome

I remember watching this endlessly in middle school. Years later I still love this and the other trailers. The most interesting part of the trailer is that Cobb has planted this idea of the Batman in other people. Thus explaining previous incarnations. PURE GENIUS. It'd dope if WB ever decides to turn this into a movie. The mash ups you do on this trailer was and always will be awesome.

I love the extended use of American Psycho in this one, really lends alot of creedence to the more dark, bleak tones of the story you were going for. Really love it, hope you do at least one more after Dark Knight Rises comes out.

GODS DAMN IT! every time I see this I get chills. And then upset, because this isn't real. The scene with the Bat embracing Bruce is my all time favorite.
