I like how all dv videos are based on the woman ALWAYS being the VICTIM. I'm sure the woman do get abused more(so they say, ) but not all victims are woman, I also think that the law needs to change so more people don't get falsely arrested like what's happening now. We changed the laws so woman get equal pay in the same work place as a man. But yet we don't change the laws to protect men. Equal right means equal rights. The US judicial system needs to change, so it's equal for everyone.

I’ve been fighting one since 2021 😢 it’s been horrible..got terminated from my job, it’s just taken a toll on my mental health and i feel like there’s no one I can talk to. I should’ve left when he hit me the first time every one told me but I was young at least thought I was in love . Like how can you hurt someone you just love so much smh . He ended up fracturing my jaw smh so i had to leave the scene I was in no shape or form to stay there I didn’t know they put a warrant out on me . I’m so stupid I went back with him again 😢I know don’t say it .. and it only got worse .. he punched me in my face in front of the hotel we were at in another county in front of the hotel manager and they called the police on him and they put a warrant out for his arrest, but then said I had a warrant out on me from the other incident smh, just so messy and toxic I know.. I should’ve known. Lesson for me stay away from someone cause if they put their hands on you one time they are going to keep doing it again and again.. And if you are in that situation just leave. Love doesn’t hurt and it will never harm you. Stay safe guys and keep me in your prayers please 🙏.

I live in Boise Idaho. I’m a first time offender i was charged with 3 felonies regarding domestic. There was NO injury, no bruising no skin tenderness.

The victim didn’t press charges but the prosecutor pressed for 1 felony domestic count. I paid my lawyer 20k he just filed motions. The lawyer scared the hell out of me saying that if we take it to court I’m doing prison time. I took the plea for 1 year in jail.

Sounds like I’m not telling the truth right. No injury? How is this happening to me?

I have a friend thats been in this situation can he get it dismissed with a court appointed lawyer????. He has A first time misdemeanor. No criminal background, clean record. No real fighting just loud yelling, grabbing and bumped a few times and she bit her lip that caused her mouth to bleed from her braces. He got arrested in his own house and had to sit in jail for 48 hours. He bonded out and have a upcoming trial date in 3 weeks. He has no kids. Never been locked up or anything. If the victim never press charges or even show up to court can it get dropped

I don’t understand what you mean by “filed.” A court date is set but it hasn’t happened yet, so is that “filed?” I’m the victim and am on his side, the DA won’t talk to me and the state took up a felony charge . Do I go in person to state attorney to persist that they listen to me that the cops tricked me into pressing charges, since they won’t answer me either and all my motions to modify the protective order got rejected by the county clerk’s? I did file to dismiss the case with the court appointed attorney but the sister got involved now And I don’t think she understands that I’m trying to get it all dismissed and he did alienate from her and his family for a reason some years ago. So I’m kind of boxed out

My ex was in a previous relationship and was physically abused. Locked in a room with a firearm. He punched holes in the wall by her head and thrown across a floor. She never filed a PFA. The only abuse she claimed in her notice of hearing was we bumped shoulders and she lost her balance. Should I bring that up?

I completed BIPP but the DA won't offer anything besides probation. My ex told the DA that I drove by her job despite me not even being in the city.

It feels like the "victim" can say whatever they want and the DA will go with it
