What a sweet, gentle, romantic & funny film. It's one of my 5 "drop what you're doing & watch it again" films. And I agree with what Carey Elwes wrote in a tweet, when the idea of remaking the film was being floated around: "There’s a shortage of perfect movies in this world. It would be a pity to damage this one.”

My wife and I have "As you wish" engraved in our wedding bands.

Uncommon and unexpected humility from Rob. Surprised sounding, "We've made something that has lasted." Yes, Rob. It's just... the perfect, timeless film.

This movie is perfect. Nothing off about it. No need to remake it, re-imagine it or make a sequel decades later. It's it's own shiny bubble of amazing and anyone that wants to remake it, etc is nuts.

My husband and I were in Scotland for a wedding. I was turned and talking to friends when the wedding started. As the bride is walking down the isle, I’m looking at the groom and smiling. My husband leans to whisper something in my ear-“Marwige is what bwrings us togever today.” It was all I could do not to break out laughing as the priest looked JUST like the guy in the movie!

While Rob was absolutely right about Wright, Carey and Andre being perfect for their roles, only one word comes to mind when I think of anyone else playing Wallace Shawn's part.

Robin Wright is truly a timeless beauty, living in NY I have seen so many actors who look nothing like they do on the screen, when I saw her I was amazed as she is even more beautiful in person

The Princess Bride has to be the most watched movie ever. Considering that I don't generally re-watch movies, I've seen Princess Bride at least 20 times.

This movie has a special place in my heart, it was one of the first movies that my wife and I watched together when we were dating over thirty years ago. What a brilliant masterpiece. We had a line that we used from the movie with our children as they were heading out the door…

Have fun storming the castle. Do you think it will work? It will take a miracle. Bye….

Thanks for the wonderful movie it truly is a gem.

The Princess Bride was the first movie my husband of 33 years and I saw together in 1987. Love it! Thank you!

One of the most outrageously funny scenes was with Peter Cooke as the Archbishop who performed the wedding ceremony. No matter how many times I watch the perfect film, I laugh to tears at that little scene. RIP Peter.

I've watched many videos similar to this where actors, directors and the likes review old films. I must say, I am taken at how friendly and genuine these three are talking to each other. Most notable being Rob. Must have been another reason they had lightning in a bottle.

For example, Mandy (who played Inigo) was brought to tears in fond memories of this film. Wonderful stuff.
