lol, the view count is now 10 times less right now at tutorial 19 than it was on the first tutorial. people probably think that developing is simple and something like click and drag. Btw, nice tutorials man!!!

this refers to the current object of the class it is written in... Menu.this helps us specify to java which class we are talking about ... in the example Travis is showing writing "this" and "Menu.this" will be the same thing b'cos there's no other class present (sub-class etc)

@ErichLancaster Totally agreed, I had learned C++ a while ago and recently decided to learn Java (for Androids) and made it up to around tutorial 50 in a few days. Though it's very similar to C++ even that isn't enough to understand these tutorials. I'd say make it up to at least Java tutorial 30 with other programming knowledge or 50 without to even attempt to grasp certain key concepts in here.

I think people stop watching not because they can't handle java...it's because the more Travis says "for the most part" or "Basically", the fewer of us have functional computers.
