My recommendation, is to return that generator and get one with higher "in-rush current" ability.
1) if its the summer and electric goes out, u will want to keep ur refrigerator and possibly deep freeze running, which both drawl lots of amperage.
2) if its winter and electric goes out (especially if u go solar power) ur furnace is high demand on ur amperage.

Near to perfection 🤩 videography and very good plan overall 👍.

Yeah, its called "in-rush current" exactly like an A/C unit turning on.

MAKE SURE YOU GET ELECTRIC START on the new generator. We bought one, didn't plan to use it for the whole house backup generator, but realized that we could have if we had gotten electric start. Without that feature, its not so useful. Around here, the power goes out in the middle of the night during a storm. Not like I'm going to go outside in the rain at 4 AM to pull the generator cord! One that could start itself would keep the fridge and AC on without my intervention.
