Ingrid Andress is breaking her silence over her viral national anthem performance at Monday night’s Home Run Derby in Arlington, Texas. On Tuesday, the four-time Grammy nominated artist released a statement on Instagram which began, “I’m not gonna bulls*** y’all, I was drunk last night. I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night.” The 32-year-old then apologized for her rendition, adding, “I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition. I’ll let y’all know how rehab is, I hear it’s super fun. Xo Ingrid.” Ingrid’s performance sparked a major stir on social media, with many criticizing it online. “My ears are bleeding. One of the worst national anthem renditions ever,” one user wrote on X, while another said, “I'm so sorry, I'm sure Ingrid Andress is a wonderful person, but that was one of the worst national anthems I think I've ever heard in my whole life.”

Nearly EVERY 80’s singer was drunk and/or high whenever they sang, and they were crushing their performances. Let’s not blame alcohol for a lack of talent.

Being drunk doesn't make you sing this bad. Honey, you just can't sing without autotune.

It doesn’t matter, drunk or sober she can’t sing. Elvis, Whitney & most other singers were high or drunk at performances yet still didn’t sound like this.

This is not just drunk - this is someone who can’t sing, combined with bad live autotune settings

The fact that she has been nominated for 4 grammys just proves that the Grammys knows nothing about good music.

you know its bad when you can hear the crowd saying "noooo" when it quiets down lmao

She's been nominated for multiple Grammys? She just made Fergie's version of The National Anthem look like a masterpiece in comparison.

Overusing “Y’all” doesn’t make you a country singer

i love that saying “sorry, they didn’t let me use auto tune” is somehow worse than being an alcoholic ?

I've been a country fan since the day I was born. Supposedly she's a four time nominated country star.... How is this my first time ever hearing of her???

She needs to check herself into a singing school

A performance like that should be a felony offense.

I definitely become a worse singer when i'm drunk.

But I don't become tone deaf.

Fergie can now rest peacefully knowing that Ingrid did worse.

So the protocol for a celebrity doing something embarrassing while drunk is checking into rehab immediately. This turns you into a purported victim pretty quickly

It was so bad that I half expected her to close with “…live from New York, it’s Saturday night!” 🤦🏻‍♀

Excellent job!
Remember when Miss Whitney Houston sang our national anthem?
Man, I miss the times when we had real talented artists. And not kids singing with the help of auto tune.

0:30 you can hear the frustrated crowd going “Argh!”😂

My cats are now in therapy. The sound of Ingrid’s voice F’d them up. Not even Autotune could save this performance.

I'm not buying she was drunk -that's just her. and we don't care to know how rehab is going. it was basically disrepect for the event on her part.
