Outlook is supposed to learn. I have dragged almost 3000 messages to the junk folder. Outlook is supposed to figure out rules based on those messages, such as common domains to block. Not only has it not done that, it seems to ignore rules, both the blacklist AND the whitelist. It's bloody useless for blocking junk. Older versions worked, at least used the rules I created, but the current version does not. I've been using office for over 25 years, so I have a little experience.

My outlook doesn't look anything like this. Can't see domain name. No file tab. Among other differences. Can't find a way to access the rules wizard.

Looking into it, people say new outlook doesn't have a file tab. So I tried switching back to classic. There's even less.

Looking into it more, everyone talking about rules shows the outlook in this video.

So what version of outlook is this that has the file tab accessible?

What about for AOL

There needs to be an option to block emails all together especially spam emails. Cuz I'm currently receiving alot of spam emails which I never even subscribed to and it's annoying having to unsubscribe and delete the emails individually. I never subscribed to any of these emails so I'm confused to why I'm getting them and how these people got my email address

This doesn't help at all. I already marked the spam emails as spam and it does nothing cuz I'm still receiving the emails. And blocking obviously doesn't work cuz I'm still receiving them from different email addressess. So I wanna know will I need to change my email address but then I don't wanna lose all my emails etc

How do I do this globally - create one list for ALL the email addresses? How to create a set of rules to apply to ALL email accounts?

Hi britec, I’m having problems with my windows 11 brand new cyber power computer, I’m using snappy driver to download all my drivers ( over 69 was missing ) and was going to do a full pc reset on my pc but the USB port was not reading it as it’s a separate driver? Snappy is still running right now but do you think it will help fix the problems I’m having where it’s not reading my 4060ti on the display ? Thank you

it gets difficult to block when there is no e-mail adres or domain name to block. spam these days are sent without e-mail through the outlook servers

Thanks Brian because I get so many emails that are obviously spam or even ones that may have malware on them in my usual inbox and they are obvious because of the bad spelling and using genuine logos from companies who I have never signed up with - Norton or sites that I have an account with but I know I am up to date with my details for example. Now my only issue is that I am using the free Outlook program and I do not have that "File" tab on the Outlook listings when I open the service. So is there a way that I can access those email addresses with the Outlook program I am using??

Do you know a way to delete all the spam that doesn't have a from address though? They are the ones I can't see a domain for😢

My problem is since domains are spoofed, they change on a day to day basis. Or spammers use an email with no from address at all. Any thoughts on these specific issues?

On outlook 2021 for windows, you rightclick the email GO TO Rules-create rules and ONCE in there click advanced options to arrive at same place to see "with specific words in the recipient's address" so you CAN get to the same Rules wizard from Create Rule...maybe that's a different version?

It is pathertic that people are trying to expoit other people by sending emails and stuff, then if you make a folder you even have to see the folder name of that person too.. what a world...
