I made this tonight and for my family 4 hours on high was too long. It made the rice mushy. However, we did like the flavor. Next time I'll use precooked chicken and cook it on high for 3 hours. Thank you for the recipe !

So I’ve seen a similar crockpot chicken and rice recipe that uses the Knorr rice packets…the person who did a video on that added it in at the beginning with the chicken and other ingredients and cooked it all day (low for 6 hours), I followed what she did exactly but the rice came out super mushy and had the consistency of like stuffing, the flavor was good but the texture/consistency was gross….should I add the knorr rice packets in the crockpot at the last hour or so of cooking instead of at the beginning to avoid it being so mushy? Is the rice in those knorr packets more like an instant rice rather than not?
