I purchased this because it should bloom white on black stems. However, it blooms a very vibrant blue. As blooms age, they loose the blue and take on a steel color. Three months later, the blue color is at its lightest, taking on a green tint but it is as close to a "white" as it will get, I think. White color Hydrangeas are not suppose to change color because of soil acidity. May be the gene has reverted back like some of the variegated euonymus plants. I am looking forward to having deeper Fall color soon.
