IIM Selection Criteria | Profile required for MBA from IIMs | IIM Ahmedabad & Bangalore Criteria

CAT exam is not the only criteria for selection in IIMs. Some one can get a call from IIM Ahmedabad at 90 percentile as well depending on the academic background. Also, someone can get rejected at 99.9 percentile as well!

My Background:
I appeared for CAT twice. In 2017 I scored 99.21 percentile where I only had call from Indore among the BLACKI and scored 99.91 percentile in CAT 2018 where I had call from all IIMs except IIM Bangalore. I managed to convert all calls in 2018 and joined IIM Ahmedabad for the 19-21 batch!

Scored good marks in cmat and cet but still getting avg colleges like MET, Indira, etc. Shall I repeat for cat taking another drop or settle for any avg college??

Heyyy Ananta, you've explained the concept very beautifully, Hats Off for that. I just have one query, how would the graduation category be decided if I have done 2 Bachelors Degree( BCom(hons) which falls under AC 3, and B.Ed(humanities) which falls under AC 5 category), although in terms of marks, in both the degrees I got around 78%, so the point would be 8 only, but dono me se konsi category me I would fall into according to this? AC 3 or AC 5??
