I think last turn is banned cause at this point its just as likely to cause a draw as a victory for either player.

I've dealt with the horror of true Yata lock. If properly applied, you can do nothing but get poked for an hour, or forfeit. That being said it's very hard to pull off.

"If you can get this effect you're probably already winning" Yeah but see that's the exact problem. You start winning even a little bit and now your opponent literally cannot draw a card so they can never make a comeback.

Celestial is still pretty busted and its effect are online more often than its replacement (denier/disc commander/draw dude), until they ban Fusion Destiny, I think this card should stay banned.

As for Last Turn, I think they just don't want to code that shit lmao

Last turn still banned because if you have something to not letting opponent special summon monster then you instantly win the duel in last turn thus winning the duel

Yata isn't nearly as powerful as it was in the goat format days. A lot more monsters have graveyard effects to get out of the lock, chaos emperor dragon got nerfed into the ground, and doing the necessary hand rips is harder. Basically, if you're getting yata locked these days, you were likely already out of gas and probably going to lose.

Pretty sure Set Rotation is on the ban list due to Gateway of Chaos.

Also, Fusion Destiny wasn't a problem card until DPE.

Last turn being unbanned would lead to bots playing an ftk with it.

Opponent normal summons, hands you a Jowgen the Spiritualist somehow, then activates last turn. You cannot special summon, which means you lose to last turn's effect.

I can say from experience in irl Yu-Gi-Oh. Set rotation needs to stay at one because we were abusing it before mystic mine.)

Set rotation is on there for the same reason terraforming is. Generic field spell searching is extremely good and limits the card design for field spells.

My guess is that last turn would be a developer nightmare that would need to be extensively tested with each new card that could have an interaction. Would be extremely surprised if it is ever introduced to the game

Set rotation was never banned because of mine. It was banned because the BLS field and the zefra field have mandatory search on activation effects meaning that unless your deck was running 1 BLS and 1 Zefra monster (since you never knew which one your opponent was using) you would be locked out of using your own field spells unless you had a way to pop your own cards

Konami should make a programable retrain for Last Turn or do what they did in Duel Links and Speed Duels and make a game exclusive version for Master Duel
