Whether its ribs, brisket, pork shoulder, or salmon, smoking has never been easier.
1. Start by placing the charcoal grate in the lower position.
2. Once the charcoal has ignited, insert the stainless-steel hinged diffuser plate and preheat the 24 inch stainless-steel cooking grate.
3. Next, slide the lever to the smoke icon to lock in your temperature.
4. If additional charcoal or smoking woods are needed, the hinged cooking grate and diffuser plate allow for easy access to the charcoal grate.
5. To ensure a clean grill, make sure to place a disposable drip pan under the food to collect drippings.

Why was the hinged deflector plate changed for a non hinged one on the newer summit?

I’m looking at maybe buying one of these. Have always had a Weber 22” standard grill. Why has the propane lighter been removed?

Having a hard time getting the temperature down to the smoke setting on the thermometer. It always seems to go up to 330-400 degrees. I’ve tried closing the bottom vent more, but that does not work. Any recommendations? Thanks.
