How to Pronounce "The" Like a Native English Speaker - EnglishAnyone com

If you can read, write and understand English quite well, but not speak fluently and confidently, there's just one simple reason why.

Download your free copy of Speak English Naturally to discover the simple steps to fluency, see immediate improvement in your spoken English, start speaking English like native speakers and enjoy your conversations!

In this video, learn how to pronounce the word "the" like a native English speaker. The pronunciation of "the" changes depending on the sound that follows it it. Keep in mind that the first sound of the following word is important, rather than whether it's a vowel or consonant, as some vowels and consonants have opposite pronunciations. ("the hour," for example, is pronounced "thee hour" because the first sound of "hour" has an "ahh" sound.)

Hello !😊
I'm a French girl learning English. I'm 12 and, actually in year 8. I'll be in year 9 in 2 months. (can we say 8th/9th grade?)

I really love English, and England. This language is such beautiful and really interresting!
My English teachers are alyways saying I'm really amazing and I my accent is great.

Also, on all the year 8's student, I'm the 1st in English. But I have the impression I'm the worse..😅

Your videos are really super usefull !! Because of it, I hope progress more to be able to stay 2 weeks in London without any traductor.😶

Anyhow, well done for your amazing job!😀😛

I'm sorry for this question which may be stupid, but shouldn't it have been "looks" in the phrase, "the fish look lovely"? Or was that plural? I'll be grateful for the answer.

It was my understanding than when we pronounce "the", our tongue touches the teeth. But it's not the case when we pronounce the letter "v". Is that right? The video says nothing about that, and I can't tell by listening to the phrases in this video.
