i find it kinda silly that people took this seriously to begin with, even the examples of other 'oddly spelt' words at 4:49 clearly have some sort of logic to them. zzxjoanw is just such a meme of a spelling, reminds me of that story of the parents who named their kid (pronounced 'albin'). if this encyclopedia was released today, no way would a mystery like this last 2 years, never mind 70 lmao

The Māori alphabet has 14 letters. None of which are Z or S. Therefore, phonetically this cannot be a Māori word, nor are drums a Māori instrument.
