Marlon was a trend setter. He affected the entire country, perhaps world, with his outfit and personality.

People don't know that this movie was inspired by Hollister riot in 1947 or 1948. Most of hooligan bikers were WWII veterans. Some of them probably had PTSD. Riding motorcycles gave them something to enjoy.

April 3rd, 2021 Marlon would've been 97. He will always be a legendary actor in the history of cinema. And unlike today's actors, he was also a stage actor so no one can top him. The best.

In the history of famous actors, Marlon had a psychological effect especially, over male actors. During post-Brando's era, actors like Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman or even, Jack Nicholson, all of them became actors because of Brando. Thank you for uploading this masterpiece, which I always wanted to see for a long time.

I don’t know if it was intentional, but Marlon Brando feels rather natural and real. Like you can imagine this person existing. And yet he’s surrounded by these over the top cartoon characters. I still love this movie though.

I saw this movie once, back in 1992, it was a Saturday night, I was just a 5 year old kid. Then, 13 years later, I was riding a motorcycle, dressed like this.
I still drees like this, because I still ride a motorcycle. I'm not 1% but I still love so much this style. I live in Mexico, so Marlon is not as well known as a biker boy as much as Pedro Infante, who is THE motorcyclist icon down here in Mexico.

Brando always managed to effortlessly exude an attitude even without trying to do so .

Marlon Brando was one of the first big names to bring the Stanislavski method and method acting to Hollywood. These methods focus on bringing a level of realism to the story through their characters' reactions. The audiences of the time became enamored with Brando and others (like James Dean) because they were used to seeing more campy characters, with their exaggerated, dramatic portrayals. Seeing these guys have normal, genuine reactions helped them relate to the characters and connect to the story. They weren't just a ✨character✨, they were real, compelling people. The story also came at a time when there was a growing generational gap, and the story covers that rebellious spirit of the youth in some depth. These factors helped this movie and Brando become icons. It also helped that Brando radiated charisma and was a total babe.

I first saw this film in 1975 and loved it, but as a kid I didn't fully understand the storyline, now in 11/2021 first time seeing it since, I now can say I finally understand.

The performances by Marlon and his co-stars was magnificent, The final scene when Johnny gives her the trophy, and she smiles back, spoke volumes, even made me smile.

An epic classic, never repeated, never surpassed.
