Perfect analogy (sheets of time), don't you think?
Professor Brian is one of the best.

You once showed me how three colors in a tight jar are slowly mixed together through slow rotation, to the point where there is only one color, but as soon as rotation is reversed those colors start to come back apart into three different. The conditions necessary are for liquid to be highly thick, do that only through intent rotation the mixture happens, no passive "brown-something" movement.

Come on guys... when do you recognize and acknowledge that there has to be a Creator for all this beauty to be?

Slices of space occurs with universal spirals, a congregation. An accretion disk is identical to the Bloch wall of a magnet. That’s why is flat. It seeks the smallest space possible as a mechanism of homestasis.

So if you were a bug, a very small bug, on an extremely large horse’s behind, doesn’t stand to that reason that the horse you’re living on WOULD SEEM extremely flat from your perspective, because the only measurements you can possibly take ARE the ones you can possibly take. But the horse is behind is MUCH bigger than what any bug we know can even measure - such is the universe. 😮

The best way to explain it is, we don't know a damn thing!!!

I love how that wished it was something different, they prayed it was something different but inn the end it’s as clears as day, it’s flat. How you like thin apples 🍎 ?

Space can't be anything other than flat. It is the energy in it that stretches, elongates, and red shifts a very slight amount. Just enough to get that Hubble horizon. But space only ever has been somewhere to put stuff. That it is not currently empty is the only interesting thing about it.

Well this directly accounts for what we refer to as dark matter. Just think about it.

That makes so much sense, just like the earth can look flat from our point of view space looks flat because we are unable to see but a fraction of it.

What if, since the universe appears to be flat, it could be potentially infinite flat sheets of multiple universes stacked on top of one another. Maybe we can only observe and perceive of just one dimensional sheet? 🧐

The universe must be incredibly large filled with near infinite... if not indeed infinite.... opportunities for worlds to come into existence to account for the seemingly improbable emergence of modern human civilization. Our own existence being so improbably low suggests an enormous number of chances such that eventually the improbable event has opportunity to occur.

His approachable discussions only compound existential dread for me.

I believe that space isn’t bent. The path of Light bends as it passes objects in space.

Everything in the universe has to be in a spherical, circular, elliptical at one of its axis because that is the only way gravity can be countered. If gravity is unable to keep up the pace, it will become a big long line of particles, planets, stars....which can never happen so we don't find stars and planets making anything but circulation here....

Every direction we look there are galaxies. How is that flat in any way?

when A Surveyor, goes out and does a survey. lets say a Topographic, if they use a GPS equipment its from satellite so its grid, has the curvature of the earth. there is a calculation to get ground a distance, which means makes it flat. if they use a total station equipment they occupy a control point and set up a prism which is a glass reflecting on another control point a take a measurement that would get the ground distance between those two points. they also set one more point in the opposite direction they call them foresight and backsite. which is the triangle, we just need to find the three point in the know Universe. and yes Elevation is also in this, but we sometimes use assumed coordinates and assume elevations, but the data is still true to the measurements.

Herein lies a quintessential example of how someone can be so brilliant, but so naïve at the same time!

The universe is way bigger than the bit we can see. Really? You don't say.
