I would like to improve on making backgrounds with watercolor pencils (painting in a way that is even and consistent) and layering colors enough (with regular colored pencils) to blend them smoothly. I try to use as little water as possible when I paint in coloring books, but I have to finish backgrounds quickly to avoid lines or unwanted color variations. I need to be more consistent when I layer colored pencils because too much pressure will affect my ability to add more layers and change the way that different colors blend together.

This is a great video with so much helpful info! Just one comment to share is that the volume of your voice is very, very soft in places. Not sure if you can help that, though. Thanks for another excellent video. You are a great teacher!

I was just in awe watching this process and learning from your tips. 2 things I would hope to improve on artistically is shading I'm somewhat horrible with proper shading and to not get discouraged and actually finish yo drawing.

two things i would like to improve on in my artwork:
better value use in each piece
and. no “ colored” look with better blending. have never used inktense to block in mid value colors or tried OMS either but love look of all your work!!

2 things I want to improve on is choosing flesh tones for portraits myself not what other artist have discovered. (I’m still new to colored pencil) the second thing I want to work on/ improve is time management. Yes I have a full time job, but it shouldn’t take 2-3 weeks... I need for confidence, more practice.
