It's not only that. It's also that employers don't want to pay a living wage out the gate. Making people who might want to get a degree think twice about it because it's not going to be worth it. I know many people who aren't getting University or college degrees because they don't want to deal with the student loans and the poor wages. There's only a handful of jobs that will pay reasonably right after University or college and those jobs are taken because they're in high demand because they're the only way you can survive.
