in part 2, why can't we just add the 2 blocks instead of moving of the summing point?

I have a confusion in last part of the video in the numerator there will be 15s +20

Ah, at 8:37 I calculated s+2 - 0.5s i.e. 0.5s+2 for the blocks in parallel due to the minus sign on the summing junction. Can anyone clarify my mistake?
