With all of the empty commercial buildings, especially these large tech buildings by the Dumbarton bridge like Facebook, why aren't they conserving energy? LED lights or not, these huge buildings and parking lot lights are waiting valuable energy during possible blackouts this weekend.

I bet most of these generators are broken from lack of use in 6-8 months 🤣. I got a little Honda 2000 watt generator to run the fridge if needed or charge a phone 4 years ago. Every time I’m out washing the car, or rearranging the garage I fire it up and let it run for about 30 minutes, sometimes I’ll plug the vacuum into it when vacuuming the car to run it under load. I keep a 5 gallon tank of fuel in the garage and once a year I dump the fuel out of the generator back into the tank and dump the tank in my commuter car, then get fresh gas. So many people will buy these, never use them, then 10 years from now they’ll take them out and wonder why they don’t work or scramble to a generator shop to have them fixed.
