This is the first part in a series of videos on Tiny Battle Publishing's "In the Trenches: Devil Dogs" designed by John Gorkowski and released in 2015. This is a tactical game set during the First World War and features the 5th US Marine Regiment taking on the Germans in and around Belleau Wood in June of 1918.

This play example covers the first operation (or scenario) in the game, called Hill 142 and this part shows the first two turns of the eight-turn operation.

Thanks for taking your time and sharing this. As "warned" in a previous comment by myself of In the Trenches you have convinced me to buy the series of the game (eventhough you haven't finished the game yet). Thanks for the nicely done playthrough, good and clear explanations. Shows me tha game has good maps, nice counters and some interesting game mechanics. What I also like is that it's on a tactical level with individual coys (well in this scenario, battalions is also OK. I'm not very fond of "grand games" where one shoves entire brigades or even divisions around). What makes this interesting for me is the fact that this scenario could easily be converted to a tabletop game (which I also play), using 1:72 scales figures. Not that many figures needed, also not a large board. So, I'm off now going to buy the series on Wargames Vault.

I am not clear when the concealment comes into play here? Or did I miss you moving from Turn 1 to turn 2?
