That is so sweet of you! Right now I don't feel like my sewing skills are up to par for selling my items, though I am toying around with the idea of making an apron and giving it away on the channel down the line.

Looking good! I've made several aprons for Never made one for myself. I think I'll have to fix that, lol. I love that fabric, my bedroom curtains are made out of it. Looking forward to next week :)

Honestly it's more out of necessity since I use the same area to film the hair tutorials and it's a bit of a small area. :D Such a great idea for scraps!

If you don't already have an Etsy store, you so should! I bet many of your fans with sewing-challenged fingers would love to buy your homemade aprons and skirts.

:D My machine is (from the 70s I believe), handed down from my Mom. I guess I would say a Singer since they last forever and they are pretty easy to use. Just make sure you get one where you pop a button into a slot and it automatically makes the perfect button hole for you...button holes, the bane of my existence! :D

Hi Jen, I have just come across you on youtube and loving everything I have seen so far. You are awesome. I am not able to expand the description box to be able to get pattern pieces, book info and was wondering if you could send me the links. You have inspired me to start making my own clothes and sewing gifts…. Thank you so much xxxx

I would love to purchase a vintage dress made by you. It would be awesome if you could do a video on it. Is this something you might consider doing?

I cant wait to see this progress. You are so organised, I wish I had that skill, I have stuff all over the place when I'm sewing. There's a little zippered purse I like to make from my scraps, its here on YT called Zippered Purse Tutorial by AFateSoTwisted and it's in 2 parts, check it out if you have time, I love them to organise all sort of small things in my handbag :)

This is gonna be so cute! I had a sewing machine but it gave me the biggest headache! What kind of machine do you recommend?

is it absolutely necessary to make the paper pattern piece? could I mark out the measurements on the back of the fabric with a water or heat soluble fabric marker? just seems like it would be quicker that way

When marking my pattern pieces, I also mark the name of the book or magazine it came from and the page number.
