How come no one is talking about how the contestant just pulled out a blown-up balloon out of the drawer like it is a normal utensil to have in the kitchen lol

I like how they point out the mistakes but they don't berate them unnecessarily, and they make sure to say the positive things too

American/gordon ramsay: its a f*cking balloon

People say this show is too polite but I feel like between Masterchef Canada and US, Canada feels more like an actual Masterchef show to me. They give good, helpful critique and do it respectfully. Not to mention that even the contestants are so much more mature. If people think this is too polite, then they're probably hella ill-mannered cuz it's literally just normal behavior that they're showing.

Imagine running to the table, having the perfect dish, then you accidentally trip

After watching MasterChef US this show just looks too polite to me.

The differences between the US Masterchef and Canadian Masterchef is great:
Gordon: it was a replication challenge not a sh*t on the plate challenge.
These judges: it was a replication challenge but what we asked you to do was hard so I understand

He appreciated that Josh did it twice.

Are we just gonna ignore the fact that the judges were basically ignoring the fact that Josh Perfectly replicate the dish?

MasterChef Canada: Make a spherical chocolate and you win.
Reynold laughing in MasterChef Australia: So in my dish this sphere is suspended from a chocolate tree above a green moss floor with a rabbit hole and the whole thing floats in air but melts into the ground on pouring the sauce.

“It certainly wasn’t perfect on the outside, but it was pretty on the inside.”

Maybe I’m the only one being bothered by the way she wipes her forehead and sweat and touching then the chocolate sphere multiple times!

This was such a tough challenge. All these people are so wholesome. I love that the people on the balcony were also motivating both of them. Major props to Chrissi for not giving up, I would've been crying in the corner after the first few minutes, not to mention I have no idea how to even make a chocolate sphere..

i actually really love that balloon shape. the way it revealed the inside was so beautiful, especially because Crissy also did a great job plating the inside. I feel like if it just didn't have holes and the chocolate was tempered correctly, it would have been an easy win for her.
