Those 90 degree narrow turns at the end look awful. And they had to dodge a person too. Im glad they just gentlemend to a chill finish rather than risking injury for a win in a race that wasnt even eligible for a record.

That finish set up was ridiculous. It would be dangerous to contest a finish trying to make those tight turns on carpet even before you factor in dodging the race officials and other personnel. It was like throwing in a maze and obstacle course at the end of the 10k.

Me a washed up sprinter running a sub 19mins 5k thinking I accomplished a milestone. Wow. I'm sorry to all the distant runners they used to make fun of in high school. Running long distance isn't an easy task. Well done folks. I am here prepping for a half marathon.

This was so much fun to watch even knowing it didn't count as a WR. Two great distance runners going head to head for most of the race over 10km on the road, what's not to love? I even enjoyed the fact the race was run at night, it set it apart.

These wicked fast 5k-10k road races are legitimately some of my favorite parts of distance running, and they always come out of nowhere. So fun and inspiring to see guys absolutely sprinting for 12-26+ minutes, and good camera coverage like this race is beautiful. ✨

I can understand what these two fantastic runners done @ the finish, however they gave an overall blistering performance throughout the race, mutual respect, perhaps next time.😃👍🏾

Wow! The sharp turns at the end slowed them down a bit too, plus, they looked as though they may have had a bit left in the tank too if they’d opted for a sprint finish. Absolutely phenomenal running from both.

that finish is iconic, you guys have no idea, this is a historic race ran in Spain for 60 years and one of the best parts of this race is finishing in the stadium it is also a very prestigious race, just take a look at previous winners including a very young Elioud Kipchoge.
