I show here the technique of how I bound the planner together. It didn't go quite to plan, but that makes for an interesting video. Enjoy.

Thank you for including the whole process. Including the authentic hurdles. This has been very helpful.

I like how you leave in your little mishaps so you can see what to expect/prepare for if you'd try out a machine like that. Thanks! 💖

Great video Emma thanks for making such a comprehensive review of this machine. I'm looking to buy a binding machine and very confused over all the choices and whether to go manual or electric.. after looking at many options (electrics up to £200 budget) this machine looks very flexible and very reasonably priced at around £60-£70. I like that it can do up to 400 page documents, 20 sheet punches at a time, and you have the flexibility of square and round holes, wire or plastic comb binding.

Your video was very helpful, as I am considering the purchase of the Cinch. It helped to see the "trials" along side the success....so that I see how to experiment in order to get the perfect finish. Well done video....Thanks for sharing.

Love the fact you're from the UK so I'd know what to expect if I bought these (America and their frickin' inches). Had no idea half-letter paper and A5 weren't exactly the same measurements. Will save me a lot of hassle. Cheers! :)

Nice video. I just saw an older video from Ellen Bee called "Cinch Tutorial A Few Tips For The Novice" & she shows a easy way to center a project that's a unique size: she folds a piece of trial paper in 1/2 unfolds it, lines her center fold up with the center mark on the machine & it comes out perfectly. I wonder if this would've helped in what you were trying to do without using the little buffer - although that seemed to work too. Thanks

I am thinking of purchasing this product. Thank you for doing this video, it was very helpful. Is it possible to use the plastic spirals to bind it together?

Great thanks. I really like that you also shown the mistakes. You learn a lot from them :)

I think you are supposed to put the back page then the front page then other pages so you don’t see the join. Great video

I so much want to buy the plastic coils for my books and don't understand how to buy when it comes to that pitch which I dont understand. What is the pitch of this machine so that I can buy the right coils on amazon. What would you buy? (not wire) for this machine. Please dont explain the pitch method to me because I don't get that.

I literally can NEVER get the wires to close properly even though I'm highly experienced and follow the directions exactly. Quite frankly, no demonstration takes the time to show up close how to close the wires. How much overhang of the one shape should there be? I can't tell at this point if it's just a bad machine, bad wires, me, or what. I always set the tension right. I never over or underfill, but I now have a graveyard of bent wires. I make do with some but at this point I'm thinking about going back to sewing in journals. Does anyone have a tutorial that focuses on the key closure part? Many thanks for any tips.
