'It's outrageous': Netanyahu responds to Israeli genocide charges as ICJ rules on war in Gaza

Benjamin Netanyahu has said the International Court of Justice (ICJ) was “right to reject the outrageous demand” that Israel end its military campaign in Gaza.

However, he added the court’s decision to hear the genocide case brought against it was a “mark of disgrace that will not be erased for generations”, according to Israeli media.

Mr Netanyahu added that Israel will continue the war until “absolute victory,” its remaining hostages are returned and Gaza is no longer a threat to Israel.

In its ruling, the ICJ calls for the immediate and unconditional release of the remaining 136 hostages held by Hamas since October 7. We take note that Hamas said they would abide by the court’s ruling, and as such Hamas must release the hostages immediately.

The contents of that speech were in violation of international law, because an occupying force has NO right of self defence. Israel is also in ongoing violation of over 30 UN Security Council Resolutions.
