Very informative and straight to the point. I am average mediocre GNU/Linux user and I tried to figure out step by step to do the checksum, but your video was the only thing I could find that explains things ant talks. Others had some random song on there and couldn't even see their screen that well.

Where did the GTK Hash thing come from? Do I have to install that?

Current Debian (Debian 12.5.0) ISOs come with a SHA512 checksum. So, it would be helpful to note that one may need to open preferences in GtkHash and select the proper hash function (In Linux Mint it's SHA256 and in Debian it's SHA512).

I understand most of that, but I don't understand where you get those three lines of hash numbers from to come up on your screen like that?

Installed it but used the LINUX OEM option and didn't verify the ISO as it was complicated. Please advise and shall I reinstall like you say?
