4/27/2024: GearIT 10 AWG review

2/20/24: other cables I love:
=========
Wow, just plug and play!
I got goose bumps from some songs.

I also upgraded my other room’s (family room) center channel to the Micca to improve dialogue clarity as 50% of a movie uses the center channel.

Steve Huff said it sounds as good as up to $1k cables, and comes very close to his $3k Cardas Clear cables.

Noise is not just from over the air, it’s also in other components, or your house so u need passive filtering or active noise cancelling.

Eversolo DMP-A6 has a shortcuts bar, adjustable EQ but it doesn't sound as good as the Parasound 2100 preamp

I just did the same: replaced the Mogami 3082 with the Micca speaker cables and you are 100% correct. Wow!

I also bought these after seeing Steve Huff's review. I tested them in both of my systems against Transparent, XLO and Anti-cables. They fared pretty well, but at the end of the day I stuck with my other cables. I still occasionally swap them into my smaller system (with the Anti-cable 2.1). I listen to a lot of folk music/singer-songwriter stuff, and the Miccas do a terrific job with vocals. But, compared to the Anti-cables, they are just a little soft on the top end and have slightly less impact in the bass. Overall, they are still incredibly good sounding and an easy recommendation for anyone looking for reasonably priced cables.

I would never ever spend thousands or even hundreds on cables and chords BUT if they do really improve sound I will do my research and find stuff that performs good at a reasonable price. That has led me to the Micca pure copper speaker wire which can’t be beat for the money. They sound great and they are built well. I also like the Monosaudio power chord that improves sound without breaking the bank.

I use the Micca now for 6 months...the sound becomes softer than at the begin. The soundstage is unbelievable nice.

The Micca cables are very good! I just put them on my system, and they sound better than my current cables in the midrange, bass is a little tighter. For $40 worth every penny!! My current cables were around $200. The bananas on the Micca cables are awful! Ordered some new expanding locking ones to install on them.

I’m using Micca on all 3 of my systems.

Years ago I made my own speaker cables from Monoprice #2747 12ga speaker wire with Monster Cable ends, bananas on the amp end and spade lugs on the speaker end. I wasn't looking for any particular brand, and I haven't compared them to any other cables but now you got me wondering.

I have to say, though, that one of the biggest improvements to my sound ever was adding the Ares 12th-1 DAC, the baby brother to your Pontus II. I also added the IRIS digital reclocker later.

I have never heard more bass punch...very deep and dry..❤❤

"Shut the F up."

That's what I call a subscription level comment. You couldn't have said it any better.

Use Blue Jean 10GGa cables on my 5.1 system. Love them

How do the Micca cables make your system sound better? Better clarity, better lows, better highs or smooths high?

Thinking of going Mogami as I would rather run a full loom of identical brand cable with decent quality plugs.

Not sure why but your set up niggles me, the shelves, the wiring and labels, the angle your pre amp sits at, and is that the back wall its all residing on?

I have concluded, due to an actual set of experiences, that one simply can not judge a speaker cable while using any sort of plug, cheap plugs have horrible sonic characteristics, if you want to know how the actual cable sounds then remove the plugs and attach the wire directly, obviously this is a destructive move... but you will not find a plug on any of my speaker wires going to main speakers, just too much sound damage.

I'm interested in new cables but how can I return unwanted cable if what I want is varios lengths under 2M. I would have to start by cutting them?
Any viewers recommendations up to mid priced cable welcome . My system is cristal clear as that has been my priority, but having achieved that I'm considering a warm sounding cable.
Note. All my other wires have Silver plated connections for clarity so I am un-shore if I need to have more Silver plated characteristics.

I did bought the Micca cables to replace the more expensive(150euro on the second hand market) speaker cables that I usually use but with no luck. It was less bass output, almost no depth and width, heights were strange, no dynamics in I really don't get the hype....

I prefer skw speaker cables. I have Micca cables but the skw cables are better.
