Never give up Izaw, I look forward to see the art of the full roster one day, and this guides are literally the best ones on the entire smash community, for now I can safely say we appreciate all the effort and time you put into these

Smash really made me appreciate Incineroar a lot more. He's so fun to play!

Incineroar always felt like a fun character for me. It's a showboating, hard-hitting character that captures that wrestler feel pretty well. It's one of my primary mains alongside Banjo-Kazooie.

Something to note as well, not all moves are equal with revenge. There's a mod that makes "every move does 300%" or something ridiculous like that, and certain attacks, arials, and specials don't kill at 0% to start, while others do. I think it was LittleZ who played with the mod but I distinct remember watching Incineroar and being surprised that certain moves just didn't kill, despite their % reaching an absurd number after a single hit. And then I figured it out:
**Some moves kill earlier because they calculate the launch distance after the damage has been dealt, not before.** The vast majority of attacks will calculate the launch angle before the hit. Byleth Forward smash kills at 40% fully charged, and would still kill at 40% even if the forward smash itself did no damage because it does the calculation BEFORE the % is added.

With the mod, there were a lot of moves that didn't kill when the player was at 0% before the hit. Incineroar Neutral Special would not kill at 0% despite doing 300% damage because the launch was calculated before the damage was accounted for, but I distinctly remember Alolan Whip and Back Throw killing at 0% because it calculated the launch AFTER the hit (technically launching at 300%). If you get a crap ton of revenge and back throw someone at ledge, you can straight up just kill some characters at 0 because you're technically back throwing them at whatever resulting percentage they're at after the throw connects.

I can't remember what other moves did/didn't calculate after the damage was dealt but it definitely made me realize another niche aspect of smash. As a rule of thumb, attacks with more hitstun would calculate the launch after damage was dealt.

I'm so glad you got so many big incineroar names to work with you on this, he's right up there with my top favourite Wrestler/Luchador fighters.
I can bet alot of folks who don't pick those labeled "low tiers" but I promise you guys to spend more time improving your Incineroar game also same goes for any PvP game, always make sure you have pocket mains even if a community calls them mid or low tiers. They don't get fully checked up on by the community or they'll just forget how their match up will go and that gives you a combat advantage. 🔥🐯🔥

As someone who has been playing incineroar for quite some time, i would like to correct one of the things in the video, it isn't the grabs that remove revenge upon hitting it. It's the throws. if incin gets grabbed released or grabbed by any of the command grabs that don't have a throw component, he doesn't lose revenge.

Incineroar is such a fun character! This guide does a great job of explaining the mindset you need while playing Incineroar which is something I learned while playing as him. His biggest weakness is how slow he is, but at a certain point every character has to fight him at close range which he excels at. And once you're powered up with Revenge, they are more scared of you than you are of them. Thanks for the guide Izaw!

I didn't expect to learn anything new (just watched because your art of videos are amazing) but I learned 2 new things about Incineroar from this video that I didn't know before: 1. The "Impact Revenge" Tech which if somehow mastered by a pro Incineroar player looks like it it could potentially be a powerful new option for Incineroar against projectiles & 2. The Neutral B stall for recovery was an option I never once thought of for utilising the slow falling property on the move (usually I only take advantage of the slow falling property on Neutral B when edge guarding).

What makes the character actually good is all the things that are not glaring. Everything sending at a nasty angles…strong anti-gimping…the fact his Ariel Command grab will just send him to the ledge if he misses. Turns him from decent to a very viable character.

Incineroar is probably the most fun Ultimate currently has, I recommend it to everyone to pick him up! Great video explaining the basics!

Thank you IzAw as because of this, I can now totally wreck scrubs with this amazing top tier character and go; 'You know, I'm something of a Skyjay myself.'

God's work here🙏

Smash easily put Incineroar within my top 5 favorite Pokémon. I picked him as my starter in Sun so I was genuinely shocked, but excited when I saw his reveal yet I remember the most hype from him originally was his announcement debunking the Grinch Leak. So it's cool that years later, because of the likes of Skyjay and people taking the time to really dabble with the mon, Incineroar has a lot more respect to his name as a Smash character.

I love the simplicity of wanting to hold middle stage. When me and my bro play online co op smash, my bro struggles against speedy good fighters like Roy. It feels like he would do way better when I instruct him to focus on holding middle stage and letting the opponents come to him. I play Samus while he plays either Ganon, Bowser, Ike, and sometimes Byleth. (And even more rarely Link or Pickachu.) He hates the concept of Team attack on, so even if there were local Doubles, there’s no way we’d compete. But Smash online suits us fine when my bro will agree to play with me.

It's not all about winning, it's also for a great show.

Yoo 6AM is featured here! He’s one of the best Incineroar players I’ve ever seen. Great coach, too. He’s the green Incineroar at 1:55
