Idk who this guy is, but you don’t have to always show a mentor the money before they’ll bother with you. Some people actually find fulfillment in teaching others and passing along their trade secrets to someone they find passionate, respectful, and appreciative enough to value it and add to it. Most people don’t dedicate their lives to becoming very successful then just let everything they know die with them. Usually that protege is their offspring, but not everyone’s children fall in their footsteps. But really, most people who have evolved and meaningful skill in a trade isn’t going to want to see it all disappear, they want a legacy. However, there are people out there who don’t have much humanity left and are so burned out by what it is they’ve been doing all their life that they really just don’t care about much of anything anymore. But you don’t want that shallowness and emptiness rub off on you anyway, so go find someone with more humanity left in them. They are out there, just work on yourself enough to be of value and not make them feel like their wasting their time spoon feeding you things you could easily learn on your own. Just try different people. They aren’t all going to be winners. You can tell this guy isn’t the type that sees their work as an actually art, whatever it is he does. A YouTuber? Maybe real estate because those are the two businesses that are full of themselves. Whatever it is, there are tens of millions of people out there with the same or better knowledge. Just don’t give up. Trust me.

This is the truth. Truth is you have to put in the work because if you don't even know the bare basics, how can you have a legitimate conversation with your mentor about the nitty gritty of a real estate deal. DO. THE. WORK.
