I will never understand why Clint Mansell's score for Loving Vincent did not get nominated in the Best Original Score category.

I just finished this movie...

I cried my eyes out, what a tragic life he had. Considered as a nobody, an idiot, he became one of the most known painter.

It's really strange, but deep inside me, my heart and my soul beats for him, for his art. I love his paintings, full of wonderful colors and mouvements. I can feel them like I was there with him.
I wish I was born at the same time as him... Maybe I was, in another life. It'll explained why I feel so much when I look at his paints....

It's so impossible for me to understand how such a genius was mocked and bullied
I have been reading about him since a long time and I have never ever come across such a human being
So addicted to his work, his work deserved the attention that it gets now while he was alive
He is truly my idol in every sense and everyday I wake up praying for his soul, because god we never deserved him

Loving Vincent is a masterpiece of masterpieces. I saw it tonight at the Southeast Premier in Savannah, Georgia. I highly recommend it if this movie is in your area. Go. See it. You will want to see it again.

The moment I saw Vincent reactions to his surroundings, his loneliness, unhappiness and perspectives in life while painting, I immediately synchronized with him. Misunderstood by almost everyone, I kinda feel like that and even act like that towards most people around. Like I'd really understand his heart's will and inspiration. How come a so deepened man like him would paint so bright and vibrantly colors on his pieces? And what about the voices in his head? Possibly he was some medium or something like that, but completely unassisted on the matter. Every time I see the film and the actor portraying Vincent, I feel like hugging the guy. I mean it, I'd fondly hug his human being, telling him "everything will be alright".

Watched this sooo many years ago but it feels like yesterday. It’s scary how time passes.

I bawled my eyes out watching this movie and becoming obsessed with the soundtrack. He lived a rather interesting life.

He saw things others around him couldn’t. Felt feelings others around him could not understand or, never know. It is a scary thought to be that different from those around you. I feel for him even now as he has long passed on.

The world he was in felt surreal looking at his works. It fills you with sadness, awe, and shock at what once was. Truly among the greatest movies of all time. Deserved more credit.

Great movie. Only by seeing it you get just a little close to Vincent van Gogh's genius and to his beautiful soul ...

I just hope Vincent Van Gogh is reading this. We all love you, mate. The world didn’t understand you back then, but now everyone knows what a pure soul and kind person you truly were. We continue to love and admire you, Vincent.

2:40 this is the part of the score that showcased the starry night sky at the beginning. It perfectly puts into the format of sound, how the sight of the starry night makes one feel. The grandeur, the awe, dreamlike and psychedelic trance his works puts you in that leaves you amazed and slightly unsettled and unnerved. The music in this movie really made it that more pleasing. A great movie, especially if you are a fan of this great artist.

Saw this is French class this week - it is incredibly underrated as a film that was entirely hand painted. Seriously, this film was gorgeous.

Since he was a victim of hatred, he worked hard and dedicated his life through determination and hard work, to reverse that hatred into peace and tolerance and why not say it? Into love.
