Clarifications/Corrections:
Avar/Rouran and Hun Empires are of uncertain origin, and even though most likely related to the ancestors of Turkic and/or Mongol people believe it is a tenuous stretch at best to call them a Turkic empire. The Tuoba might be the best argument for a Turkic empire preceding the GokTurks but again not confirmed and could be argued to be a regional kingdom and not an empire.
I say Turkish Khaganate once in the video...Meant to say Turkic as I do in the rest of the video.
When I say the Atlantic Ocean it should be the Pacific Ocean. GokTurks never got close to the Atlantic Ocean.

The Gokturk Empire is not the first, but the first with Turk in the name. Xiongnu (HUN TURKS) was the first big empire.

im a bulgar. we had great wars between us and the turks, but also in support of one and other against non turanic powers. we come from common grounds, had the same god(we call it tangra, turks primarly call it tengri) and created very common culturs. im filled with pride to say that we fought with and against the turk, our turanic brothers and sisters.
