Caught On Camera | Indy Residents Want Action After Violent Dog Attacks

Felisha Sosa is afraid to take her dogs outside for a walk or even to allow them to be unattended in her own yard. She has plenty of video to explain why she feels so anxious.

Home surveillance video from security cameras mounted outside Sosa’s near-westside home shows her pets being attacked by two large dogs.

“I can't live in fear at my own house. I just can't live like this anymore,” she told 13News. “Nobody in this neighborhood should have to live like that.”

Other residents tell 13 Investigates their pets have also been attacked – and, in some cases, killed – by vicious dogs that have been roaming the area. Despite multiple reports and complaints filed with the city’s animal control department, the dogs suspected in the attacks are still living in the neighborhood, where they have continued to terrorize animals and their owners.

Angry residents are trying to understand why.

The owner looks demented and his nonchalant attitude about the attacks are disgusting.

He needs to go to jail for failure to control his dogs. This has happened more than once and he needs to be held accountable for it. His dogs may not be attacking people but they are still a danger to other pets. No other animal owner should have to loose their pets because of this mans neglect to keep his under control.

Been a vet tech for 15 years. Dogs get on my property to kill my animals, you better believe I'm not above pulling a gun and taking care of this issue right then and there. Trust me, I love animals, but sometimes you do what you gotta do to protect yourself, property, and the community. This is disgusting. Condolences to the families who lost their fur babies.

Reading this today 12/19/21, the dogs were removed from his home in August and they were euthanized. He was fined 2500 dollars. He was supposed to appear in court on two different occasions but failed to appear so the judge granted a default judgment against him... not a very responsible person it seems.

Get rid of those dogs and send the owner to jail for not securing them in properly

If they will attack small animals, they will attack children easily. Someone should be held accountable before that happens.

That man needs actual jail time, for letting this happen over and over again. And I’m not an advocate for just putting dogs down whenever they get out of line, but multiple animal deaths, continuing over and over over a period of several years is pretty bad. They likely will take the opportunity whenever they get it, and they will always be a threat to their neighborhood. They’re too far gone. It’s so sad for the dead animals, their owners, and the dogs themselves. The only person I have no sympathy for is the owner. He had to have known after that first attack, and his inaction allowed it to happen over and over.

Piece of advice: If you can't keep your dogs under control and on leashes or behind a well-built fence, DON'T GET A DOG!

the same exact thing happened in my neighborhood. A neighbors kid was attacked and the father shot the dog dead.
