In this episode, we travel to San Antonio, Texas to visit one of the famous landmarks in American history, THE ALAMO! In this place for 13 days between February 23 and March 6, 1836, a great battle was fought that determined the fate and independence of the great Republic of Texas!
Outnumbered and in a losing battle against the forces of the Mexican army led by General Antonio Santa Anna, many courageous men lost their lives here including Jim Bowie, William B. Travis and the great frontiersman Davy Crockett.
This led to a great uprising with the battle cry "REMEMBER THE ALAMO!" which eventually led to the defeat of Santa Anna and the Mexican army and the independence of a new sovereign nation called the Republic of Texas!
