Good for you to explain the sinking funds a lot of people are under the impression that sinking funds are not meant to be used. I have explained this as well. Great Video.

I use sinking funds for basically everything. I make my budget in a spreadsheet but I use YNAB to track my spending & YNAB tracks the rollover amounts without any work on my part. So utilities, groceries, gas, personal spending, vacation, gifts etc

I have sinking funds for car maintenance, a new car, house maintenance (I am renting right now, so this is for the future), a down payment for a house, vacation, Christmas, and my husband and i both have a personal spending sinking fund (but it's mainly for buying expensive things like a laptop or phone). Our goals are to buy a house and get me a new car this year!

The hardest thing for us is not being able to spend on eating out! We don’t have a lot of time to cook so it’s just the easiest thing. I gotta find cheaper and still healthier options that work for us.
