The Loyola Sustainability Research Centre is proud to present the Partnerships for the Living City: Promoting Urban Biodiversity conference (March 7, 2014). A partnership between the Centre, the Secretariat on the Convention on Biological Diversity, and the Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Science, the conference showcases the research talents of the Loyola Sustainability Research Centre and celebrates local and international achievements in urban biodiversity and sustainability.

This video clip showcases the achievements of various Montreal municipalities, and features Dr. Braulio Ferreira de Souza Dias, Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, Dr. Andrew Gonzalez, Director of the Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Science, and Mr. Réal Ménard, Member of Montreal's Executive Committee, Responsible for Sustainable Development, the Environment, Large Parks and Green Spaces. Montreal mayors represented are Mayor Alan DeSousa (Saint Laurent), Mayor Anthony Housefather (Côte Saint-Luc), Mayor Paola Hawa (Sainte Anne-de-Bellevue) and City Councillor Marianne Giguère (Le Plateau-Mont-Royal).
